OpenAPI 3

OpenAPI 3 schema is used to define the API and model of the back end services.

RESTful Web Services

RESTful Web Services are used for the back end service, which support Json and XML.

The Json MIME media-type is required by the apps for images.

GraphQL

Recently the Road Trip Radio Android app and backend web service was converted to use GraphQL rather than OpenAPI. The server is now Spring Boot GraphQL.

Android Auto

Android Auto is being experimented with for the Road Trip Radio Android app. Android Auto apps are written in Kotlin using Composables and Material 3 design.
